Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Pareta Inc. ("Pareta", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the Pareta platform — the API, web application, SDKs, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, which is part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Pareta provides AI inference. You send requests (for example, through our OpenAI-compatible API with model: "auto") and Pareta selects and runs the models that serve them — which may be models we host or third-party frontier models — and returns the result. Model selection, routing, and the serving infrastructure are decided by Pareta and may change at any time without notice; what we hold constant is the API surface and the published quality bar, not any particular underlying model.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration information, including a working email address that you control.
• An account is personal to you. Keep your password and API keys confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your account and keys. Tell us promptly at support@pareta.ai if you believe an account or key is compromised.
• We may decline registrations, and may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Fees, balance, and credits

• The Service is prepaid: you top up a dollar balance and usage is deducted from it at the rates published at pareta.ai/pricing. Rates may change; changes apply to usage after the change is published, never retroactively.
• Usage is metered per request from actual model consumption. Your dashboard and API responses report what each request cost.
• New accounts may receive a promotional sign-up credit. Promotional credits have no cash value, are non-transferable and non-refundable, may be subject to expiry or adjustment, and may be revoked for accounts created or operated to farm credits (for example, multiple accounts for one person or automated registration).
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Except where required by law, prepaid top-ups are non-refundable once consumed by usage.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for illegal activity, or to generate content that is unlawful, or that infringes the rights of others;
• attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent security, rate limits, metering, or access controls, or use another customer's data or keys;
• resell raw access to the Service without our written agreement;
• create multiple accounts to obtain promotional credits;
• use the Service to build a dataset for training a competing inference routing service, or attempt to extract the weights of models we host.

We may apply rate limits and other operational ceilings to keep the Service reliable for everyone.

5. Your content and data

• We retain inputs and outputs for service operation and quality monitoring. API and playground inputs and outputs are stored for up to 30 days and then deleted. During that window, samples of production traffic are automatically re-run and scored — including by third-party AI models — to measure and maintain answer quality. Requests may also be processed by third-party AI providers when routing selects a frontier model to serve them. There is currently no opt-out from quality-monitoring retention. Details, including the full list of subprocessors, are in the Privacy Policy.
• Benchmark data you upload is kept until you delete it. Evaluation datasets and their results exist so you can re-run and compare them over time; delete them at any time in the product or via the API.
• We do not use your inputs or outputs to train models, and we do not sell them.

6. Service quality and availability

The Service is provided on an early-access basis. We work to keep it fast, correct, and available, and we publish quality measurements in the product — but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI model outputs are probabilistic and can be wrong; you are responsible for evaluating outputs before relying on them, and for human review where outputs affect health, legal, financial, or safety decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, or data; and (b) Pareta's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Pareta against third-party claims arising from your inputs, your use of outputs, or your breach of these Terms.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time from the product or by writing to support@pareta.ai. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, for non-payment, for security reasons, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice and, for discontinuation, refund any unused paid balance — promotional credits excluded). Sections 5–11 survive termination.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you (for example by email or in the product) before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. The version you accepted is recorded at signup.

11. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Pareta about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
